An address just outside the historic quarter stylish rooms with high-tech amenities and a casino are some of the reasons why the non-smoking Hotel Allegro Bern is one of the most popular hotels in the Swiss capital. With lovely views of the Bern's medieval quarter the five-story Allegro also overlooks the snow-capped Bernese Alps. There's plenty of natural wood in the 171 non-smoking rooms and suites which have a boutique hotel feel. Complimentary wired and wireless internet is a plus as are TVs with cable channels coffeemakers and minibars. Pets are allowed. There's a fitness room with cardio and strength-training equipment as well as a sauna and hot tub. Three restaurants two bars and a casino ensure that the joint is always jumping. The world-famous Zytgloggeturm in the heart of Bern is half a mile away. Western Switzerland's main highway is a mile away so this location is good for those exploring the nearby countryside. Bern Airport is seven miles southeast.

“Standard room with atrium view they called it, it was a nice enough room but the view wasn't as much atrium as it was the other window/wall of the other side (2 meters away) of the thinnest part of the atrium. Next time I will try the next room level with an actual view, I tried to ask for an upgrade but the hotel was sold out the next day, I think it will be worth the money to not feel like on a cruise ship with an inside cabin. Staff were very friendly and public transport tickets during the full stay were included. I will be coming back here again, as the location and breakfast buffet was perfect.”
