Love it! I only regret the fact I am staying for just the one night.

Great hotel close to West lake. 16th floor spoiled me on my birthday with lovely card and special noodles! Always outstanding service- Cru Steakhouse is Morton (famous USA steakhouse) like quality! You will not be disappointed- free mushroom log as appetizer is really cool idea- clip mushrooms off log and dip in sauce- yummy! Great wine selection and excellent selection of fresh oysters! Mall close by along with high-end supermarket!

Courtyard Hangzhou Wulin was an awesome place to stay! It maintained the always good standard of quality from Marriott. The room was spacious, clean, quiet. There were many options for shopping and dining. Not too far away from West Lake by walking. The fitness room and swimming pool were wonderful (shared with JW Marriott). The breakfast was not free for gold elite member though.

There are a few glaring problems with this hotel, which are not mitigated by its better qualities. The first is that the rooms were very dated when we arrived, although the public areas were better (but there's not many public areas if you don't have at least platinum status). The rooms were rather on the smaller side as well, or at least they felt constricting (due partly due to a lack of adequate lighting). The second is the fact that you feel immediately like a second class citizen. This Courtyard is located right next to JW Marriott's, and rather than making a separate entrance, the Courtyard's entrance is presented like a small side entrance to the higher class hotel, which is not an ideal first impression. Every time you enter and exit, this presents itself to you again. The third is that the rooms from the Courtyard look directly into the JW Marriott rooms on the adjoining side, and its quite easy to see how there may be privacy issues if you're not drawing your blinds closed at all times. There's no film on the windows to prevent lights from escaping during the day. However, what this hotel has going for it are its excellent location and immaculate cleaning staff. The cleaning staff here did the best job of any hotel I've ever been too, which was impressive. The location is near the West Lake (actually quite walkable) and a good range of shops and restaurants nearby. Transit options are also not terrible. However, I don't think I'll stay here again.
