Hotel room is very nice but was dissatisfied with breakfast service. Found hair in my breakfast food two days in a row. The first day on my eggs and the second on my beans (short curly black hair so definitely wasn’t my own). Additionally, I found the staff to be unpleasant. We booked with breakfast but they made a mistake and told us we didn’t have breakfast. When they got it sorted, they were unpleasant and made it seem like we inconvenienced them when it was not in any way our fault… The room was big and very nice. Spa was small but the sauna was nice. Hotel is slightly far from city center but an Uber is very cheap (~€6) to get you to the center. Would recommend staying at the hotel as we enjoyed the spacious room, just don’t get the breakfast.

This hotel is plush with amenities including very lovely smelling toiletries and also comfy beds. I had to deduct a star for the restaurant and its desk service alone. The staff of the restaurant was rude on several occasions during our stay, and I must say that the breakfast buffet was generally just ok. Also, only soy milk for non dairy. They hadn’t even heard of oat or almond milk when asked. Again, not my experience at any coffee shop or other hotel in Portugal (I know some countries don’t have them yet but that’s not the case here. They willfully just don’t have the options). However, the hotel itself and its front desk staff were wonderful; giving plenty of expertise for the city, and assistance on the many amenities of the property. Hopefully your stay brings much contact with their crew.

Extra nice rooms. Good food. No problems speaking English. But we didn't like Porto. Big cities with crazy traffic is not on our vacation list. If we go back to Porto for a business trip I would stay at the Crown Plaza again.

Excelente hotel con un trato excelente (mención especial a David que nos aconsejo y asesoro en todo momento). Hotel acordé con las 5 estrellas que tiene. Perfecto!!!! Para ir al centro hay que coger transporte público o andar 45 minutos. Muy recomendable!!!!!

Fuimos con un perrito pequeño de 1,5kg la sorpresa fue al irnos nos cobraron 25€ por dia total por 3 días 75€, el perro durmió en el suelo y no le pusieron ni un triste cuenco de agua nos sentimos realmente estafados. Se lo comentamos a la recepcionista que 25€ por dia cuando alperro no le dieron ni agua nos parecía exageradísimo nos comentó que se pondrían en contacto con nosotros vía email para darnos una soluciónel cual nunca llegó. CUIDADOsi llevan mascotas pregunten antes las tarifas ya que ponen que aceptan mascotas pero no ponen las tarifas.

Really enjoyed the stay here.Valet parks car, that is wonderful. Elevators to upper floors inaccessible without room key, like that. Breakfast was delicious with lots of options for everyone.Front desk very accommodating.Rooms clean an comfortable.

Booked pet friendly, took our cat! Great breakfast selection, fruit, cereals, pastries and hot food. Pay for breakfast included as it is quite expensive if you pay separately. Booked a superior double, plenty of space.

I stay here fairly frequently on client visits, and the experience is consistently good. Front office staff are very friendly and the check-in process is super fast, much appreciated when arriving late at night. Good elite recognition and upgrades, many breakfast options (including lots of fresh fruit!). The rooms are a bit dated but clean, well maintained and very spacious.

Crown hotel was amazing, we received a welcomes drink, and the check in was very easy. The rooms were cleaned by an amazing and friendly crew, you could ask them anything and they would help out. The room service was good too we ordered 2 times and it was only €17 The access to the building was amazing as we needed people to come over for our wedding preparation. It’s just sad that there is no swimming pool and the jacuzzi was broken. Gym is a little bit small but that’s a minor too.

Os quartos são muito antiquados, a banheira estava meio partida, o chuveiro deita pouca água, não tem pressão. Os atoalhados vê-se que já são muito usados, roupões, toalhas, etc. um hotel desta categoria nao devia ter estes pontos negativos. O meu quarto (1019) tinha o comando da televisão debaixo de uma almofada do sofá, e tinha lixo debaixo da cama. Tive de pedir outro comando e só mais tarde descobri aquele. O pessoal é todo muito simpático e profissional.

Beautiful hotel, very clean, the restaurant was good. Not much to add, they cleaned the place every day, we had enough space in the room. There is a table, you can use for work. There were two armchairs for rest. Nice and clean bathroom. Breakfast was great, we had enough food and there was a big variety. The staff was friendly.

Senti falta de chinelos de quarto e tapete na casa de banho...de resto tudo como esperado pela categoria. O pequeno almoço é bastante satisfatório. P.S. no dia seguinte lá estavam os chinelos e a toalha de chão...tudo ficou bem.

O hotel está localizado no novo central business district (CBD). Leva apenas 15 minutos para chegar à zona história da cidade junto ao rio. Os quartos são confortaveis e o serviço é aceitável. Poderão fazer sempre melhor com o treino e formação contínua dos empregados.Se gostou desta crítica, deixe PF o seu GOSTO

Outstanding! I felt like I was at the Shangri La. The hotel was very nice. The restaurant was spacious & had lots of room. The dining outside patio was so nice & I enjoyed the food. The breakfast was amazing! Choices after choices! Loved the coffee!! The business lounge was nice, but I wasn't into the sandwich that I think was raw Sashimi. The rooms were spectacular! The beds so soft, room to eat in & the bathroom big. I wasn't too crazy about the half shower door. Of all the European cities...Porto won me over. I can't wait to go back & stay in this hotel!

We travel around the world and only stay 5 stars. We have also stay in Crowne plaza before. This Crowne Plaza at most is 4 stars, which should be. Given a few facts for your own reference: 1) No one greet to welcome guest at arrival. The lobby staff are generally indifference in seeing guest. We are here for 9 nights. Not even one single greetings, whether day or night. 2) Breakfast we booked for daily stayed the same everyday, nothing changed. Everything stays exactly the same. Nothing new and nothing special. Every morning we have tried to get attention from waiters ordering tea and coffee after sat down at table for at least ten minutes, waiters only focus on laying table, plenty of staff but no one bother if guest needs anything. Only discovered freshly cook omelette can be ordered from kitchen, but no information at buffet or at table stating that. Again indifference staff at restaurant, therefore we decided that no point coming same restaurant (SoMo Restaurant, the only restaurant at this hotel) for dinner even though we actually planned it. 3) Bed are not changed daily for a 5 stars hotel? Compliant twice, housekeepers came back to change it. But later housekeepers told me that generally it is change only every three nights. No system of cards to place on bed either. But changing bedding every three nights meaning if we did not request, our bed would be changed only twice during our 9 nights of stay? That's certainly NO 5 stars. 4) Bathroom shower is weak. Shower head and hose worn down. The shower screen strip comes off and no one fixing it. 5) Bedroom amenities are generally spartan. Kettle with two tea bags and two packs of instant coffee. Though there were two apples on arrival. Boring, yes. Lastly, we do not think this Crowne Plaza Porto is a five stars hotel at all, amenities and all. Not worth the price they are charging. We have actually booked it directly from Intercontinental Group. Very disappointed and would not recommend for one who wants the general international standard of a 5 stars hotel.

The places location is great. It is nice and quiet away from busy and toutisric places. The hotel itself had been decorated beautifully. The rooms have great views. Staff is attentive and kind. Food and drinks are good as well. Would recommend and definitely go again.
