“Convenient Club Floor and Lounge (can't go wrong on the nightly snacks). Great in-hotel restaurants - love the duck at Made in China. Always made to feel welcome.”

“The pool in this hotel was amazing. And the proximity to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City cannot be beat. You definitely felt like you were being watched all the time as an American I'm sure I was. Things were hard to upload to social media as I'm assuming it was being checked by the Chinese government before it could be uploaded which was an experience in and of itself. The hotel was great for sightseeing and shopping in the malls. The malls are huge and totally empty! I don't understand how they could all be so empty. Slightly higher prices for diane von furstenberg, toms, La Perla and other shops you would find in Europe and the US. It's about 20% more expensive than it would be in Europe or N.America for the same items. All of this was fascinating to me. I would see only a few people in these shops in a day but there would be like 20 workers in a large shop. Customer service was very good since there were so many people helping. I would love to come back some day if Americans/ Europeans were let back in.”
