“This hotel is absolutely gorgeous. The high ceiling art deco interior is scrumptious. So much variety of seating and comfort. The fireplace where the original tenant’s banking manager used to have his office is a favorite area to work on my writing. Makes me feel like I’m in somewhere other than Phoenix and almost a different era.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m a Phoenix native and love downtown, but I know of no other lobby like this one. I love to come here and bring my writer and illustrator friends, have a cocktail or meal, and be creative.
Speaking of alcohol…the bartender, Scarlett, is so great! She’s professional, kind, and attended to the needs of the seven of us before we had to ask. Once, while waiting to order a drink from the bar, I watched her expertly handle a group of fairly drunk guys without resorting to harsh words. She made their drinks, chatted politely, and sent them on their way. My friends and I will be back, and we hope to bring more artist friends to experience the Hilton Garden Inn.”

“Great amenities, poor service. Upon checkout, we asked that the total charge be divided amongst four individuals (despite reservation for two rooms being made under one name). After some confusion, this was accomplished. However, the receipts for each individual only included the name of the person who made the reservation. We asked the receptionist to print new receipts that reflect each individual by name. She told us this could not be done in-person and gave us a phone number to call. We called the number on the way to the airport. The person on the phone said it could not be done over the phone and needed to be done in-person upon checking out. The end result is an administrative nightmare trying to get reimbursed by our employer.
Only one elevator worked during our stay, which meant we had to wait anywhere from 3-15 minutes every time we took the elevator.
Aside from that the hotel was a great fit for our group. The rooms were nice, location was ideal, and the amenities were excellent.”
