“Far below the usual standard expected for a Kimpton property. The building itself is very elegant, with lovely Art Deco features; it could be incredible if the hotel lived up to its potential. Things started to go wrong when I had to wait for an hour in the lobby (having been promised a wait of 20 minutes and that they would come call me) for my room to be ready; if I hadn't checked in with the staff I have no idea how long I would have waited. The room was actually ok, but rather dated and, overall, the property badly needs a refresh. Things went from bad to worse at the wine happy hour (a nice feature of Kimpton hotels) where the host made me feel totally unwelcome and in the end I just left without trying any of the wines. At no point did I feel my custom was valued at this property and I would never stay here again.”
