There is only one restaurant (steak house) open after 7p with limited availability forcing the majority of guests to either Uber eats or leave the hotel properly. For a such big resort charging $500 per night these service should be furnished and or available. For the money this place is simply not worth it!”

“We stayed for a week. We were disappointed on several levels. This is a conference hotel. It would be nice to have coffee makers in the rooms so one does not have to stand in long lines to get coffee during large events. There is zero bathroom privacy with the louvered doors over the soaking tub. We were told that they were not providing daily maid service and were asked if we would like every other day or another alternative. We asked for the every 2 day alternative. The maid never came at all. We tried calling guest services multiple days/times with no answer. We tracked a maid down in the hall to get clean towels mid week and had to set our trash out in the hallway. I realize this is supposed to be a higher end hotel but the prices for beer and bar food were much higher than average. The hotel also seems very dated. Overall the hotel and our room was clean and the pools and beach are beautiful. Also, there are not any amenities close by.”

I chose this hotel because it seemed to be more of a family resort than other options in the area, especially at spring break time. I was looking to relax by the ocean and enjoy some time with my 10 year old daughter and our stay was delightful up until our last day/night. Due to a conference and private event they had going on that day the pool area was closed at 2pm. The event, which was directly outside my balcony room, blared EXTREMELY loud music until 11pm. I called at 9pm and asked when the music would stop and was told 10pm. When it was still going at 10 and I went down stairs and spoke to a manger I was told at 10:30 the event would be over and the music would be off. At 11 pm the music was still BLARING and I again went down stairs and spoke to the manager who finally went outside and asked them to turn it off. I wish I was able to upload videos to show just how loud the music was, even with the balcony doors closed! If this was a guest playing music this loudly in their room at 11pm I have zero doubt the hotel would find it unacceptable, however because they were benefiting from a "private event" it was not only acceptable to them but I practically had to beg, several times, to have the music stopped so we could sleep. Total disregard and disrespect for other guests. I paid for an ocean front room with a balcony to relax and enjoy the view, this "private event" made my balcony unusable, unless I was looking to party, and truly put a stain on what would have been a wonderful stay. I highly recommend asking if they have any "special events" planned before booking your stay if you're looking to use the pool areas, balcony or are looking for a little rest and relaxation. This hotel absolutely puts conferences and private events at a higher priority than other paying guest.

A gorgeous property right on the beach with a lot of fantastic options around and within the hotel. Pricing was a little over the top and almost every regard but that's to be expected not only due to the hotel but due to the location itself. Even the 7-Eleven nearby charges double the normal price for goods. The beach was comfortable and they had good amenities out there, the pools were great and there were options. There was a kid's splash zone that while small was great for the little ones to run around and enjoy and they had someone stationed at the slide for safety which was a plus. There were some really great restaurant options inside the hotel itself, and the business events that I attended and were catered by the hotel were absolutely delicious and well orchestrated. Service interactions were top notch as I would expect and hope, the only area that fell short was around housekeeping both in terms of initial cleanliness as well as attitude when requests were made for items to be brought to the room. While I stayed in the hotel with my family, my team went out and explored areas nearby such as the boardwalk and many restaurants to choose from and had an amazing time and experience both inside and out. I know I gave a four-star rating, because I traditionally am stingy with my five stars, but this is Definitely a hotel I would recommend overall. Bonus, the spa was fantastic and the staff were as well!

We came to the Diplomat for a family reunion. For the price, we expected a first class experience. We were disappointed in so many ways: -No bell service available when we arrived. I had to carry luggage for 3 people. -No room service at all. -No coffee shop or bar food for a light evening meal (we bought sandwiches in the canteen). - $50 a day valet parking, but no ability to call down to have the car ready. Sometimes we had to stand waiting 15 minutes for our car to arrive. -the 20% mandatory service charge on the breakfast buffet was exorbitant. On the plus side: The private dining meals were excellent, and the hotel's breakfast buffet was delicious! The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Hopefully the new management can work on the issues that need fixing.

We held a business meeting at the hotel. Thoroughly impressed from start to finish. Coordinating the event beforehand was smooth and communication consistent. On site the staff is AMAZING 👏. You can't beat the location or the view. Rooms are clean and hands down the BEST shower water pressure of any hotel. The hotel offers nice amenities and dining options for all wallets. It was an absolute pleasure to stay at the Diplomat.

This is such a great resort in an awesome location. The beaches are beautiful and well-kept. The staff really make this place. The front desk, bell hop staff and bartenders were all amazing. They made us feel welcomed and never made any request feel too small. The variety in bars and food was great, and the service is good. Food is a little pricier than I expected but did not surprise me considering the property and area it is in. A good package would make it better, but with the rates of this hotel, I came prepared for it. The boardwalk is only a short drive/ride away which also has food options. I would recommend this hotel to friends and families looking for a great FL getaway. The only negative is parking. The parking garage rates are high, and there aren’t any options for having guests (as someone from South Florida, I have family in the area I would’ve liked to spend time with there).

Hotel bem localizado, mas muito confuso. Reservei um quarto com café da manhã incluso, mas só havia uma cafeteria tipo Starbucks, onde não sabiam quanto poderíamos consumir, sendo uma reserva com café da manha. Nem mesmo o front desk sabia dessa informação.Estacionamento vallet extremamente caro, (60 dólares), valor mais caro até de hotéis da collins avenue. Paramos no estacionamento em frente e entramos a pé.A Piscina estava em reforma, e a parte que estava aberta era extremamente fria. Quarto ok, mas não vieram fazer a limpeza e quando retornamos tarde da noite, tivemos que ligar e pedir para trocar as toalhas. A Praia é bonita da varanda, mas não é boa para banho, pois fica funda de-repente além de ter muitas algas (sagarço) e algumas caravelas-portuguesas, que são muito perigosas. Há opções melhores na região.

Wonderful room. Lots of pillows, comfortable bed. Great view. No coffee maker, and in 7 days did not get a visit from housekeeping so ran out of amenities like shampoo, towels, toilet paper. I took it from their carts which were on the floor all day. Beautiful resort and very clean and friendly overall. Beach was great and we did alot of swimming. Very safe feeling

Hotel and grounds were beautiful! Well maintained and very clean.Staff were friendly and welcoming. I had a King oceanfront room with balcony and the views were gorgeous.The hotel charges a daily resort fee for pool and beach use, unfortunately the weather was a bit too cold to enjoy either. It would be great if the resort fee were optional for those guests not planning to use these amenities. Overall, a great stay at a beautiful property for a reasonable price!

Spacious rooms with fridge & mirror to get dressed (great details), fabulous views, comfortable beds, amazing bathrooms, beautiful beach & pool areas. Loved the QR code to order breakfast from your room & go pick it up downstairs (avoid lines), great breakfast selection (healthy) and snacks in cafe downstairs. Shout out to Kevin J & the beach team for outstanding service on the beach. One con, parking prices are ridiculous and the garage is hard to get out of. Overall outstanding stay and will come back.

I am currently staying at Diplomat Beach Resort, and my experience with this hotel is absolutely amazing. Every corner of the property is so professionally managed and the service and hospitality of the staff from the front desk to the pool, canteen, housekeeping, and to the water activity station on the beach are impeccable. To be honest, I was a bit worried about the hotel because of the series of bad reviews, but everyone in my family is so pleased with my choice of the hotel and we just extended our stay. The heated pool and the super easy connection to the beach is the gold. I like this quieter and less crowded setting in the Hollywood beach than Miami. I also want to give a big shout out to Marcellus who helped me with check-in. I arrived at the hotel after an exhausting and unpleasant event, but he was extremely kind and helpful with smile and accommodated my family’s needs perfectly. Also everyone whom I interacted at the hotel, including Jay, is so nice and professional. Thanks so much for making my vacation memorable! Keep up the good work!

Nice pools. Excellent beach. No coffee maker in room (which I’m pretty fond of on vacation). I’ve been to other resorts that also provided bottled water in rooms. None here. The breakfast in the restaurant and service was amazing. During pandemic, you need to request a room tidy 24 hours in advance.

The view was amazing but the resort amenities were not available as advertised. Restaurants in hotel were closed. Room service not available. Pool towels were nowhere to be found. The kids water park was not open from Fri to Tue during our stay. Disappointing experience.The valet staff was always helpful and friendly. The Bell service was helpful and the pool staff was friendly.

The hotel has a great location, right on the beach and the pools are great. I think there is plenty of chairs too to lay out. The room we stayed at was nice but was not cleaned well. They also don’t have coffee makers in the room, which is ridiculous for this 4 star hotel! There is very little reasonably priced food options nearby. The restaurants at the resort are incredibly overpriced and the quality does not match. They’re charging $4 for Hilton coffee! The fancy sounding yogurt parfait i got for $13 was a small cup sized - not filling at all. The $15 alcoholic drink was in an 8 oz cup. They are taking advantage of the location they have - wish the quality matched what they are charging - it does not!

Overall decent experience. We were put in the wrong room initially and when we noticed the hotel we were told that we would have to pay an additional $50 a night to upgrade to our original reservation.Friendly staff, nice pools. Can use some overall upgrading.

Great place over all.Went there over New Years. Hotel was supposedly at capacity. Not a problem, unless you wanted a chair by pool or beach. People just left towels to save their spot.Have to get up early to try and have a seat later in the day. Otherwise, enjoyable.

excellent location and view from the balcony!! everything else was below par from this hilton hotel. stayed 4 nights. no room cleaning during our entire stay, no new towels, we had to get new towels on the 3rd day from a cleaning cart parked near our room! breakfast system is a disaster! do not waste your money on getting breakfast from this hotel unless you want to spent few hours a day on your vacation getting breakfast!! how ever way you order they take about 1.5-2 hours to give you half of what you have ordered. when our family picked a non smoking room we never thought that we have to put up with second hand smoking of weed from our balcony!! horrible experience!! we were in 2551 and it happened at the adjoining room 2449 if this hotel is interested in checking into this. Michigan football team checked in during our stay for capital one bowl, majority of the players were not wearing masks but we were told that masks are required in all public areas of the hotel. don’t publish rules that you cannot enforce!!

This hotel is advertised as a four or five star hotel—save your money! Staff lie outright to get you to go away and not bother them. There are few amenities. No towels in pool, room, or beach. People wander from place to place seeking basic amenities. No cleaning of room even when promised at check in. 2hour lines to check in. Pools not heated at all. It’s December-the water is ICE COLD in pool. No coffeemaker in room and irregular hours of food service. Go to a two star hotel -you will like it better than the Diplomat

I've been a guest at the Diplomat several times a year for a couple decades now. This was my first trip back since a month before the pandemic locked things down and it was so great to be back at my happy place. I'm a Diamond member, and really appreciated getting upgraded a couple days before arrival. Knowing I'd have the room I wanted in advance (it was my birthday) was a huge stress-reliever. I also appreciated getting a later check-out, since my flight out was later. As usual, the salads at Playa were yummy, healthy and filling. Didn't love the Counter Point Power Bowl as much as I loved the old buffet, but with the restaurant closed, at least it was a warm option and not just pastry. Overall it was a great stay. The only big callout I'd have is that the chair hogs were out in force, putting towels down on chairs at both pools, or at pool and on the beach, and the pool attendants were not clearing them when they were obviously not used for hours on end—which made it hard for anyone to get a chaise after 10am or so.

Below poor. There is no management of this hotel to be seen, it shows in their staffs lack of care and details. Check in line took an hour, room not ready until 4 hours after check in time. Dirty room when finally ready. Old Chinese food in the fridge from hopefully previous guest but I’m not going to inspect any further. If it wasn’t 10pm at night and my wife and kids were exhausted I would be out of this place and go give any other property my money. Don’t be fooled by their pretty pictures online like I was. It ain’t worth it !

I stayed at this hotel for about a week in November of 2021.The rooms are nice but nothing really special, beds are comfortable but comically short.If you are over 6' tall this will be challenging for you.The shower pressure is low but the rest of the room setup is nice with all the connectivity you need.The amenities of the location are really where the hotel shines.The gym at the hotel is very nice, they have decent food and drink options, and the pool and outdoor space is excellent.The only complaint I would have is the food and drink menus for the bar and out door areas are extremely dated.They could use a refresh for sure and not what you would expect from the look and feel of the hotel.Service was ok at best being extremely slow and numerous times our service person just left us and never came back, not a big deal and funny a few times, but also not what you would be expect from this hotel.If you are looking to really hit the beach, pool and relax outdoors this hotel is a great place but not a 5 star establishment.

Aparte Estuvimos este fin de semana abónanos la habitación cash y luego nos la cobraron de nuevo en la tarjeta de crédito. Even on a Holiday weekend with the city full of tourist, exceptional service was not lacking at this location! The room was clean and cozy and the view of the inter-coastal was amazing! I sat in the window at sunset and through the night and watched the city lights. The valet always kept my vehicle ready for pick-up. The location, staff and ambiance was a definite plus to my visit to this city! I will definitely return!

Aunque hice el chek-in el Domingo 22 de Agosto, nadie nos explico como y cuando limpiarian la habitacion, lo cual hicieron el Martes, sin embargo no nos cambiaron el Lunes 23, ni siquiera las toallas. Nos parece que el Hotel esta un poco caro, teniendo en cuenta el servicio que brindan. No tenian ni siquiera un equipo para poder hacer te o cafe. Otro detalle que nos sorprendio es que en las habitaciones no tienen caja de seguridad, sino que hay que ir al Front desk cada vez que quieres guardar o sacar algo de las cajas de seguridad que tienen en el Front desk.

We travel frequently and this is first time we’ve stayed at a Hilton hotel for a conference. The Diplomat failed to met our expectations. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, however the customer service was not up to par. The time it took to receive our bags from the bellhops took quite a bit of time, I tipped him cause he was polite and gave us some info regarding the hotel. We were informed we could call down to the guest services to request a coffee marker for the room from a representative of the hotel. When we called we were told that coffee makers aren’t provided. The hotel business center computers didn’t work. The Canteen shop cashier wasn’t exactly pleasant about the bottles of water being held in a basket near the cashier when my spouse was interested in buying one. I still tipped her anyways. We’ve called down from our room phone to guest services multiple times about a few questions we had and things we needed and was not able to actually speak to someone except for twice then I switched to communicate with the Hilton app. We order food that was being held at the front desk and when we went down I seen a bag there and asked if the bag was ours cause we were informed our food was here at the front desk and the representative at the desk said “ I don’t know” and went back to talking on the phone. When we got to our room we realized we didn’t have utensils to eat our food so we called guest services to ask if we could get utensils and were told “that the dining department is temp closed”, so my spouse got dressed and walked down to the bar and they gave her utensils. My spouse and I made reservations at Prime Diplomat and after everything we’ve experience during our stay decided to cancel our reservation since we didn’t think the services would meet our expectations either. At the end upon check out there was a line and I was at the end of it. Lawrence the GM approached us and noticed we were there for the conference being held. He ask if I was checking out and said yes and all I wanted was the checkout receipt of all charges. Lawrence went to the front and came back with a receipt of all charges and I handed him the keys to our room. Lawrence was the highlight of our stay. He did leave my spouse and I with a smile as our stay concluded. Sadly we will not stay at this location again.

Le daría 5 estrellas pero debo advertirle a todos los que visiten este hotel que si viajan con niños pequeños o bebés como fue mi caso,las tumbonas de la piscina todas están al sol puro de Miami,,si deseas una sombrilla debes pagar extra al rentar una de las cabañas que están a la orilla de las piscinas,que son varias, y solamente estas cabañas cuentan con tumbonas con sombrilla,,aún si están vacías no puedes usarlas,,cosa que me parece un poco negativo ,ya que es un muy buen hotel y esto me parece ridiculo ,,puesto que los precios tampoco son bajos.Así que preparados padres ,o bañense después de las 4pm que es cuando no da sol,Fuera d este aspecto negativo todo lo demás me pareció bien,muy limpio y elegante,muy buen servício.

The hotel has a beautiful lobby, beach and pool. The vista is great. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. Good food at the Playa restaurant near the pool. The service is good as well. The kids pool could use an upgrade, but the kids still seem to enjoy. One ask to management is to provide umbrellas in the pool area where parents need to watch their kids in the shallow area of the pool vs. baking in the hot sun. I was told umbrellas are available at the pool for those who rent a cabana. I would expect to not have to rent a cabana to have use of an umbrella, especially as a diamond member and paying over $500 per night at a resort. FOUND RING: If you stayed in room 3575 in the south tower prior to July 24, we found a ruby and diamond ring in the closet and turned it in at the front desk.

We stayed at the Diplomat for 3 nights and were very pleased with everything. The hotel itself is grand and beautiful. It is full of greenery indoors and the decor is impeccable. Our rooms were clean, the color scheme of the room was very modern and fun, and the view from our room was out of this world. We could see both the beach and the city from our large balcony. The hotel staff were very professional and friendly. A big shout out to William in the front desk who helped us check in and who was very welcoming and hospitable. We really enjoyed the pools, and we especially appreciated all the iced water stations everywhere outside that allowed us to stay refreshed during our time in the pool. The valet service was also very efficient! The hotel is definitely on the pricier side, but it makes sense given the quality!

Unfortunately it's a 1 star. The facilities are great but the people were not. Its pricey which is fine for a nice resort. However, you would expect great service for these prices. Not the case at all. The staff was rude at check in and it lasted the entire week. There were glimpses of hope with certain individuals but overall it was poor at best. No one seemed to want us there. Our family never asks for extras and tips generously, especially for great service. They automatically included gratuities for all dining/drinks and seemed put out to serve $150 meals and $15 drinks to our party of 2 adults and 1 child. We had high hopes when we pulled up and left promising never to go back.

This hotel is spectacular! The hospitality is amazing! Check in was awesome because of Jacqueline! She was very professional and she was informative about the property! The room was breath taking and the balcony view! The poolside restaurant was amazing as well...thanks to Ryan Chuck! He treated us like family. Very professional and answered all questions that we had! I will definitely be staying there next time I’m in the area! Ryan Chuck deserves a raise due to his hard work and running around making sure everybody in my party of 8 was taking care of! Thanks to the Diplomat and it’s employees for treating us like family! We felt at home and comfortable!

Attended a 3 day conference here, the venue is huge and immaculately kept. Sessions ranged from a few dozen to a few hundred in a single room. The venue has a fun way of letting attendees know the next session is beginning, playing a small xylophone and walking through the halls. Staff were responsible for feeding few hundred and did it with grace, setting up and breaking down with speed, keeping the food line moving and freshly stocked, plates cleared and guests happy. Food was very good, especially considering the sheer number of people. Each meal was a different themed and always had a meat, green, sides, and dessert option.

We had an excellent experience from check in to check out! The front desk staff were friendly helpful and accommodating. The food was delicious and the views were spectacular! We went to oyster hour all 3 days we were there at Point Royal and each time the bartender Ryan was great! He not only was excellent at his job he was professional friendly informative and helpful we really enjoyed our interactions with him!! We will definitely be back!

This hotel has everything you can need and more. Every single staff member was an absolute delight. Only thing that’s slightly obnoxious is the pricing of everything. $7 for a pound of bananas is a bit much IMO. I understand convenience charges, but that’s just a bit much. Also, over the 4 days that we were there, I heard the Cabana boys give 3 different prices. Ranging from 200-250 for a covered cabana. Feels a little shady that the prices change within hours of each other. Also, the $35 a day room fee on top of what we already pay for the room daily is a little much. I understand it’s for the extra activities, but if we don’t plan on using them, we shouldn’t be charged. Lastly, about that, if the water is too choppy they don’t allow the water sports to happen, which is the main charge of the $35 extra daily fee. That should be removed if they don’t allow water sports that day. Other than that, this hotel and staff is absolutely perfect.
