“Great place to stay! Location is great, rooms are very nice, bathrooms modern and clean and the interior of this approx 400 year old building is a super stylish mix of old and new. Stayed for a prolonged weekend in room 229 which has a nice view of one of the many bridges that is lit at night.
Didn't have breakfast, so can't evaluate. We decided to have breakfast in the neighborhood to get amongst some locals (which is only partially possible, since there are a lot of tourists). We did have some drinks at the bar though, which were very good. If you're hungry in the evening, you can order from the very good restaurant Black & Blue around the corner (although I'd also recommend to go there as well).
What's most notable though is how super nice the staff was. Unfortunately we didn't catch their names, but especially the young man doing the night shift at the reception 11.11.-14.11.2021 and the gentleman from the bar (who seems to speak 4 or 5 languages and who's son had just been in Berlin with his art class 😉) were very attentive and friendly, giving us great recommendations that made our time in Amsterdam even more enjoyable. Thank you again!”
