One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in! Pros: the reception staff are so friendly, easy check in, the room was overlooking the beautiful chapel, the room was clean, great amenities in the room, felt very safe, the bed was the best bed I've slept on during a vacation. Cons: didn't manage to work the Aircon - it was blowing out warm air even when we put it on the lowest temperature (I still give 5 stars as this may be my own problem). There are closer hotels to the old town but we stayed in a closer one the day before we arrived at Arcotel and Arcotel was so worth the walk. Thank you for the wonderful stay 😊

Rooms are updated and comfortable. Fitness center is nice. Bikes, elliptical, rower, dumbbells, weight machine, but no treadmill. Lobby and bar are nice. Pretty grounds.

Don't be like me and read the reviews before you book. TL;DR: Avoid this hotel (and Salzburg in general). Worst value for the money, you end up paying 2-300€ for a night and in exchange will get a small room with almost zero (no hot drinks, bar, snacks, smart TV to cast, usable reading lights) or cheap amenities and uncomfortable bed.

The hotel was clean and comfortable the junior sweet was enough for 2 adults and two children ( with sofa bed) and nice , breakfast was very good but not so many choice however , clean service was 👍🏻 Had Free WIFI in the room . Their was no refrigerator in the room .

The service was great although the air conditioning did not work in the middle for a hot day. We spent the rest of the vacation with an open window. As all the other rooms were booked we did not get a replacement. The kind staffs tried their best to help us but it was unsuccessful. In the end I still rate this as a good experience as the compensated the negative points by providing an amazing breakfast.

1.Simple breakfast is 20Euros/one person. 2.Emplyees are not well trained.* 3.No coffee facilities. *He requires us to pay for the hotel accommodation even we payed it before😡. We argued for that. It turned out it was his(hotel's) mistake. If we didn't check the payment bill, we must pay 200euros more. *Employee didn't concentrate on the work. The employee talked with the other employee A LOT when we checked in. I couln't believe this hotel is 4 stars hotel with those employees.

Disappointing. Turns out breakfast was not included; the passive staff answered our questions at least. But lukewarm and lackluster considering the high price tag. The room was fine. There was a candy wrapper on the floor and no minifridge in spite of the required high-price deposit. If you request bathrobes upon reserving, don't expect them to be there. Be aware that all you get is a standard hotel room. I thought I reserved an expensive 4-STAR hotel experience with a "SUPERIOR" room and a culinary breakfast experience, but it was really just a run-of-the-mill room and you need breakfast as an add-on when reserving (I didn't realize 20 Euros per person EXTRA was for the simple breakfast! Watch out for that!) Maybe it's the reality of traveling in August; prices and thus expectations are just higher. Maybe I didn't pay enough attention on the reservation. Maybe the hotel is better as an event venue. At the end of the day, it was a rather expensive stay in a normal, mostly tidy hotel room with a seemingly clean bathroom, and nothing included. For the price and the 4 stars, I don't think it was worth it, and I'm disappointed. I think it's an event venue trying to be a hotel; and I can't recommend it. Pass.

Nice hotel not too far from city center. The food/catering is quite good, and the rooms are light and fairly spacious. The staff is polite and friendly.

+s Easy parking (15€/day), clean place, nice position -s No minibar, no lift at the 5th floor, breakfast personal not polite, breakfast to expensive for what they offer (20€/pers), avoid 5th floor (attic), small bathroom at the 5th floor

My main problem with this hotel is that it is not right in Salzburg. It is about a 20 minute walk to get into the city. When I stay at a hotel I like to walk out the door and be right in the middle...
