Tried to check in at 2 but they said to come back at 3. Came back at 3 but they said they'd charge us extra for checking in before 4. Left again and came back at 4. Finally got to settle in to our very average, overpriced room. Apparently the more you pay, the fewer amenities they have to provide. No maid service, no breakfast. They charge you to park in their spacious parking lot, and you can relax in their pool which is situated between the parking lot and a very noisy avenue. The room was in mediocre condition, not nice but not impressive in any way. The air conditioner/ heating unit did not shut off and was very noisy. The lights by the bed did not turn on. Electrical issues or just faulty equipment? Who knows. This room was worth maybe $60/night but they charge twice that amount.

My mother and I were just looking to a staycation and found a really nice room here at an unbeatable price. So we went ahead and made the reservation online. upon arrival we were informed that there was going to be a $250 deposit, that would take between seven to 10 days to return to the card after checkout. Mind you know where during the reservation process did they say anything about a deposit, obviously we know there's going to be a deposit but at $250 you think they would give you a heads-up

There is a home fashion trend called "shabby chic", and although charming when done intentionally, the "chic" is missing here. I wouldn't be bothered by it nearly as much if the place was clean, but it was borderline. The dark hair in the bathroom and in the kitchen are either from the previous occupant or from the cleaning crew. I got a spray cleaner and wiped down areas in the bathroom and kitchen. I will be here for a week, and have been here 3 days thus far. There is no cleaning service. I had a late arrival and called Sonesta to let them know, and the woman I called was delightful and responsive. When I got to the hotel, a guy with a scruffy beard, poorly-fitting t-shirt, and an attitude checked me in. He recited policies in a monotone, had no welcoming greeting for this tired traveler, and demanded a $250 authorization for "miscellaneous items." Oh, and they charge for parking. The room is spacious, but beat-up. The chairs for the desk/dining area have large patches of flaking vinyl, and the coffee table shows similar wear on the laminate. The bed is OK, the pillows awful, and there is no blanket/bedspread to speak of, just a thin comforter sandwiched between 2 sheets. The bathroom fan is switched to the light, so you cannot walk in the bathroom and opt not to have the fan on. It's really loud. There is nothing to hold a bar of soap, and they provide the smallest bar of soap I have ever seen. The bathroom itself is spacious and functional. No plumbing issues. There is a dishwasher and full-sized fridge-both work. I'm actually OK with well-used furnishings, I would rather things be well-used before throwing, but the cleanliness issue and surly welcome have tainted my stay. Update: Interactions with other hotel staff were pleasant. They won't give you a fresh towel unless you bring the used ones to exchange. I'll be staying elsewhere for the next trip.

A huge thank you to Ray at the front desk. He was very pleasant and understanding after my late check in. He was able to check me in quickly and accommodate an American Airline voucher after a crazy travel day. He even requested a VIP taxi pickup for me in the morning and the taxi got there in under 10mins and was able to get me to the airport on time. So thank you Ray! I appreciate it 🙏🏽✨

Price is a bit high for the quality of the room. We returned from a trip from a few years ago. We booked for several days this time, no discount. On top of that, they charge for parking, so it seems as if you get nickel and dimed for everything here. I would recommend a different place to stay, nothing spectacular here, not even breakfast. I feel we could have received a better deal someplace else.
