Prédio icônico, construído como o American Motor Hotel, depois do auge no século passado, a administração passou por três grandes redes até chegar a rede Hilton através da Bandeira DoubleTree. Os quartos estão renovados com uma decoração retro muito agradável, o loby, bar e restaurante estão em reforma e atendendo precariamente. Durante minha estadia enfrentei problemas de gestão e administração, por sorte, o gerente contornou a situação de maneira convincente com um bom atendimento ao cliente. Em minha próxima passagem pelo centro de Atlanta voltaria a mensagem hospedar nesse DoubleTree.

Hotel was clean and the rooms were quiet and functional, so my trip was uneventful the way I like it. Very friendly and competent staff. Convenient location, a reasonable walk from the convention center. Just enough restaurants within a 4-block radius.

Super cool location and very convenient for downtown activities! Really cool history of the building. Tori at the front desk is super beautiful and super professional! The only minor problem we had was a smell in the bathroom, but the housekeeping staff immediately made the maintenance team aware. Will definitely be back!

Foi-nos permitido um check-in antecipado 4 horas antes do horário de check-in real gratuitamente. O quarto era bom e espaçoso, com comodidades suficientes para o seu preço. A vista do quarto também era ótima. Os cookies dados gratuitamente aos hóspedes merecem uma avaliação de cinco estrelas por conta própria. Boa localização para assistir a conferências e concertos em estádios a oeste do hotel. Também um bom local para passear no centro de Atlanta.

Cool place, with a unique style, nice service, great mattresses.. but unfortunately a broken bathroom door. There is a great bar to hang out in. Not too bad for the price! Confused by the bathroom door though.

We were allowed an early check-in 4 hours before the actual check-in time free of charge. The room was nice and spacious with enough amenities for its price. The view from the room was also great. The cookies given to guests for free deserve a five-star review on its own. Good location for attending conferences and concerts on stadiums west of the hotel. Also a good spot for strolling Downtown Atlanta.

Not a place I recommend and will not use again in any City. Cleanliness was absolutely an issue including the room and the lobby downstairs. The breakfast area was clean and breakfast staff was friendly but the normal expected supplies like sheets, blankets, pillow, and working TV was an issue as they were out and I had to fix the TV myself. Hotel smelled of marijuana in the hall of our room both days. I had to follow up 3 times to get sheets over an hour and a half wait and finally went down for the 3rd time at 1:40 am to get sheets handed to me by a disgruntled security guard. Just really disappointed after paying over $900 for a 2 day stay at a place I expected to be quality and embarrassed that I reserved this place for my wife and daughter to visit the Georgia Aquarium. This hotel is not worthy of a visit for sure and am surprised that the Aquarium uses this place as a preferred hotel. The Aquarium was awesome but the American DoubleTree is not.

Our stay was truly “just ok.” We booked a king room through Hotwire and got a room on the 4th floor. The entire floor reeked of weed 24/7 while we were there. Bed does not have king size pillows, only throw pillow size. The bathroom door is a sliding door that offers little to no privacy. Our air vent made a very loud, high pitch shriek that they had to send someone up to fix the first night. After returning to our room the 2nd night, housekeeping had not tended our room (not even new towels or bed made.) When I called the front desk, they said housekeeping has to be requested and is not standardly provided (I assume because of COVID maybe?). However, the next morning, our check out wasn’t until 12pm, but housekeeping walked in our room at 9am while we were in bed. Our room was not stocked with a ‘do not disturb’ sign and I was completely caught off guard since the front desk had just told me they don’t provide housekeeping. The redeeming qualities were the friendly staff who were all nice and the location to the stadium and museums was great. But, over all, I would suggest to keep looking at other hotels in the area besides this one and save your money.

We stayed in a King Suite on the 8th floor. The room was dark and smelly. The bed was one of the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept in. The comforter on the bed was stained and had a sheet over it to try and cover how worn out it is. The restroom in the lobby was filthy on more than one occasion and had grime and gunk built up where the wall meets the floor. The furniture in the suite was tattered and uncomfortable. My wife had a cockroach crawl across her foot while we were trying to eat and watch television in our sitting room. We saw another cockroach crawling across the floor the next night, The cost of breakfast is $12 per person for a buffet style breakfast that has minimal choices, no fruits and very poor quality food. I have never had to pay for such a terrible breakfast during a hotel stay. Even the Holiday Inn has a free breakfast. The staff was friendly but always busy as there are only 2 people at the desk and there were several groups of people awaiting check in for 30 minutes or more. There is no available outside seating in the fall and winter as the pool area is locked. We were told to use our room key to access the pool area to enjoy the outside seating, however this did not unlick the door. When we asked about it again we were informed the area was inaccessible to guests while the pool is closed for the season. The location of the hotel is convenient and the Cloakroom has amazing food, however when comparing the cost to stay here with the overall quality of the hotel I would recommend you stay else where. This hotel needs some major updates and a LOT of cleaning. Stay at your own risk.

From the moment of check-in to our departure less than 18 hours later, the staff at The American Hotel treated my group with utter contempt for guest service in exchange for keeping sacred their highly inconvenient policies and regulations, that of which involved an overly complicated check-in, incompetent valet service, and mediocre at best room service. Do not book this hotel expecting to be treated as a guest, but rather as a statistic. Two stars overall - not one star only due to the factor of human error, as I know running a hotel is not easy and making every guest feel served is a tall order, but still a poor effort overall by the folks at The American Hotel during this particular time span on Jan 2-3, 2022.

Não se esqueça de usar Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ ao fazer a reserva. Eles comparam centenas de sites de reserva e normalmente terão quartos muito mais baratos do que outros! Agradeça-me mais tarde! Este resort é um dos mais conhecidos nesta área. Venho aqui há anos. Se você ficar por algumas noites, com certeza não se arrependerá.Britta é uma funcionária incrível e vai além para garantir que seu conforto seja atendido durante a sua estadia. Don't forget to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ when booking your place. They compare hundreds of booking websites and typically will have rooms a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is one of the most well known in this area. I have been coming here for years. If you stay for a few nights you for sure won't regret it. Britta is an amazing employee and goes above and beyond to ensure your comfort is met during your stay. She answers questions and ensures you feel safe being away from home during a pandemic.

Good news first. Great location. Friendly, professional, helpful staff with a sense of humor was a bonus. The bad news was that the heat wasn't working in our room. Also we had a broken toilet that wouldn't flush. Thank Goodness Colin James was working when I checked out the following morning . He is a gem. He made everything right and made my day with his wonderful personality. I would try staying again at this hotel.

Coloco 1 estrella por obligation ... Pesimo hotel no debe pertenecer a la cadena hilton.. El olor a marihuana espectacular en el hotel cero limpieza hotel cochino, pedimos 2 veces limpieza no la hicieron somos 4 en la habitación y colocan 2 cafes 2 shampoo llamamos a pedir y te dicen solo 2 .. No exigen tapa bocas tiene q ver la gente como en su casa todo daba azco. Y debes pagar por todo nos dijeron que teníamos wifi gratis y cuando llegamos que debemos pagar por cada celular que conectabamos
