“We reserved and paid for our 1-night stay in advance for a total charge of $195.34. We checked-in on Saturday, 8/14/2021 and checked out on Sunday, 8/15/2021 without issue.However, in reviewing our checking account this morning, Monday, 8/16/2021, we find that Hilton has charged our account two (2) additional charges of $244.18 and $50.00, respectively.We called the hotel itself, and they referred us to the Hilton accounting department advising us that we had to wait for a phone call from them within 24 hours. This is not acceptable as they have already taken, without our authorization, $294.18 from our checking account in addition to the $195.34 we had paid in advance.They made a mistake, took our monies without our authorization, and now we have to wait for someone to call us back?!?!?It is amazing to us how quickly they can take your money, without authorization, and how long it takes and how difficult it is to be refunded our money.We tried calling other Hilton corporate numbers, but the answer is the same, accounting will call you back.Unacceptable, truly unacceptable. The whole point of reserving and paying for our room in advance was to obtain a lower rate and avoid issues. It didn't work out that way, did it???”
