“We had a great stay overall. For the price we paid, housekeeping should be done daily. The front desk was amazing; everyone was so friendly and polite. We especially liked Candi; she is incredible. She truly went above and beyond the call! She had to deal with a difficult group of people and she managed it very well.”

“I think the person in my room before me was a practical joker. When I sat in the desk chair, it was so loose I almost went over backwards and could have been injured. It had to have been loosened as I was able to tighten the chair by hand. Once that was fixed, I turned on the desk lamp with no results. I was about to call room service, but I checked to ensure it was plugged in and then discovered that the light bulb had been loosened. Once I screwed the bulb tight, the lamp worked fine. As I continued checking the room, I found that one of the bedside lamps did not work. With the two other events behind me, I began to look for a man made problem and found that the lamp had been unplugged. The work desk was spacious, but power plugs were not convenient. To plug in my computer, I had to crawl under the desk. On the positive side, the room was clean and once I decreased the thermostat, comfortable. The swimming pool was easily accessible with a cool temperature. The towel racks were large and spacious, just no towels. Fortunately I had brought a towel from my room. There was also a splash pad area that would be fun for children, if it only worked. The bar and restaurant were nice. Dinner was well prepared and served promptly. My bartender, Caitlyn, was more attentive than many waitresses I have experienced. Unfortunately, their closing time was moved up as downtown Peoria is dead on Sunday night. Parking is off site; about half a block away. I was not comfortable leaving my car as there was no attendant, nor any security that I could see. Fortunately my car was fine the next morning. Check in and out was very friendly and efficient. I feel the overall rating of 3.5 is justified as this location is not up to the usual standards of a Sheraton.”
