“I changed my booking at the last minute to Hilton Garden Inn Kyoto and I am so glad I did. The hotel is new and fresh and the design has been very well thought out, catering to foreign travellers, the rooms are also quite large for Japan. As a Hilton Honours Gold Member I was welcomed on arrival and thanked for my loyalty and continually made to feel important during my stay. It was approx 15min walk from Gion district and I enjoyed the walk, exploring the back streets along the way. Super easy to get to the station as well. When returning to Kyoto next, I’ll be staying there again :)”

“This is a brand new hotel in a great location. The check in experience was overall pleasant and the staff was kind. There was some slight confusion about the credit card that was listed on file, but the staff was patient and kind. The room is small for two larger sized American people. The desk in the corner may be best left out, or the room rearranged slightly. The beds were extremely comfortable and the cleaning staff were excellent. The amenities in the room were wonderful. The iron was slightly confusing as it was written only in Japanese, and not like one I’ve used, but I figured it out quickly. The laundry took over 3 hours for my clothes to dry, it may be better to invest in larger machines. It was nice and convenient they had the machines. The breakfast was excellent, maybe the best tasting and assortment I’ve ever had at a hotel. Thank you for a pleasant stay!”
