“If zero stars were possible, I would give. I recommended this place to dozens of people and before renovations there were zero issues. I mean hotel was old but priced accordingly. Now they have gorgeous rooms but it seems they are trying to cover renovation costs by charging people's cards days to weeks after checkout for damages they are not responsible for. 3 I know were charged $300 days after checkout for smoking. 2 of which do not smoke and the other requested they check cameras to see she went outside to smoke and why did they first return deposit then remove three times deposit amount? Another friend was charged for a blow dryer and she is a hair dresser with an arsenal of tools that doesn't need to steal a hotel blow dryer. This is a scam and these people need to be arrested! They are preying on customers to pay for their newly renovated hotel which is a nice 2.5 star but after you are charged damages, you are better off just spending $500 at a 4 or 5 star.”

“Rooms are new. Very nice. Staff at front desk very nice. Management is dishonest with respect to what they say they are charging you outside cost of the room. One way conversation if you can call be yelled at for a screw being loose that you bring to their attention. No dispute policy when you are blatantly being charge for a $25 for a loose screw that you report to,them and get charged $100. Management would not even let me explain that I reported it to,staff there. Oh and nothing was broken, the window just slide open further than it was supposed to and I thought they should know about it. They certainly know how to ruin a nice quiet one evening stay, even though their construction started at 5am. I'm not one to make issue with things of that nature but the check out and dishonest and condescending management ( I'm 56 yr. old professional) was a bit much to take. I'd be very wary of considering a stay at this hotel, I know after being a repeat customer, that... well I think the rest is understood. Travel safely and be careful, doing the right thing in a hotel can really backfire on you. I don't know when but I'll guarantee that any felonious charges will,be refunded. A smart business or respectable hotel would actually refund me entirely and offer an overnite stay at no charge. I wish Madison Suites Hotel in Somerset, NJ all the best”
