The recently-renovated Meliá Ria is located in the heart of Aveiro next door to the Aveiro Congress Centre. It features a restaurant an indoor swimming pool and a spa and wellness centre. All rooms and suites at Hotel Meliá Ria include an en suite bathroom and air conditioning. In addition every room features an LCD TV a telephone a minibar and free Wi-Fi access. Buffet breakfast is served each morning with a view over Ria de Aveiro at the elegant restaurant "O Lago". The bars and restaurants of the centre of Aveiro are less than 10 minutes’ walk away. “It's a very good hotel to stay for a couple of days. The safety precautions are good, the bedrooms are good, the breakfast is good and the location is excellent. What we didn't like so much was the fact that only at the check-out we were told the coffee machine was supposed to be requested upon arrival for premium rooms the qeues for the elevator during breakfast rush hours and the fact that they overcharged us for 2 extra beers of the mini-bar that ee did not consume, so be sure to check the hotel bill when checking out.”

“The hotel is ok: rooms are spacious, large bathroom and clean. Unfortunately we felt service was lacking. We had to pay 5eur/person extra to use the pool (swimming caps are obligated!), which wasn't mentioned during booking. Parking is available but you can park for free on the other side of the road. Located in the center, possible to discover city center by foot. Very elaborate breakfast: no complains there! They paid a lot of attention to COVID-19 measurements.”
