They had double charged us on one of the two rooms we occupied. I talked with their front desk and they said this is our issue with our credit card company.We paid with two different credit cards and our reservation was under one credit card.One of the rooms had a hot water faucet handle and connection dangling on the counter. Our first door cards did not work.The hospitality hour was different and not to our liking.This is not the Kimpton hsopitality we remember from the per-pandemic days.

The customer service is stellar. The nightstaff is absolutely fun, jovial & inviting as though you are an old friend. I love the history of this hotel,and how rhey have maintained its authenticity.

It's a historic building that's has been updated so some of the room layouts can feel a little tight. The high ceilings make up for part of the tight layouts. There aren't fridges in the rooms but the front desk can bring one to the room. Our room had views of the city and mountains. Room felt like it could use a deeper clean with scuffed up baseboards and red marks on the tub, but overall a solid experience.

The hotel was sparkling and freshly renovated with fine finishings and attention to detail. There was a wine reception every day in the lobby with a different staff member to warmly greet you. We received help with drug store items and shipping home our purchases from the city. When they found out it was my birthday, they sent special surprises to our room while we were gone. The staff were like friends by the end of our week long stay in Denver, and our visit to the city was made exceptional by their fine care and above and beyond service! Thank you P and Z!!! <3

My spouse and I stayed at this hotel for 4 days during a vacation to CO. The location was ideal, but the hotel itself was severely lacking. Our toilet paper holder and magnifying mirror were both hanging onto the wall by a thread, and the fan in the bathroom didn't work at all. Most importantly, the shower didn't drain! We took multiple (average-length) showers during our stay, and not once did the shower drain properly. The last day, it ended up flooding the bathroom. Considering the fact that we paid nearly $1,000 to stay here, we were incredibly disappointed! Not worth that amount of money and we will definitely NOT stay at this hotel again.

O hotel estava imaculado! Acho que nunca estive em um hotel limpo. A cereja do bolo foi como a equipe foi incrível, especialmente quando o GM vem e cumprimenta eu e minha esposa pessoalmente. O Diretor de Vendas e Marketing deles também foi muito gentil quando perguntamos sobre as atrações nas proximidades. Não sei como este não é um hotel 5 estrelas.

Esta foi a nossa base durante a nossa viagem a Denver, e não poderíamos ter pedido uma experiência mais agradável! A equipe da recepção foi super simpática e acolhedora. Stayed one night passing though Denver. The bed was comfortable but the rooms are TINY. The room is large enough to fit a king bed and TV and nothing else. We were close to the elevator and it was extremely noisy all night with guests walking by. The lotions and shampoos are all in large pump bottles which has a feeling of uncleanliness during the current pandemic. The valet was very nice but so expensive and also very slow; we had to wait a long time for him to get our car. Also, online it says the hotel is valet only, so we chose to do that, but once we checked in, the front desk said we could have self-parked, which was frustrating because the valet was so expensive. Also, the hotel is right downtown, so if you have pets, there are not great places to take them out. The furniture, decor, and location are all nice, but it is definitely not worth the price.

The hotel was immaculate! Don't think I've ever been to a cleaner hotel. The cherry on top was how amazing the staff was especially when the GM comes over and greets my wife and I personally. Their Sales & Marketing Director was also very sweet when we inquired about attractions near by. Not sure how this is not a 5 star hotel..

This was a nice hotel and the rooms were clean, but for the price we paid, I was hoping for just a bit more. I’ve stayed at other Hotel Monaco locations before and loved my experience, which is why I wanted to stay at this Denver location. I suspect they’re struggling still because of covid and do not have adequate staffing. The line to check in the night I stayed was ridiculously long with one person working at the front desk. In the morning, the coffee was empty and I was not able to have any because they were not prompt in refilling it. They also charge you an extra “amenity” fee on top of what you already spent for your room, which I did not know about until I saw the charge on my card afterwards. The amenity fee is for “complimentary” bottled water, wine happy hour, etc. How is it complimentary if you’re paying for it?! I don’t understand this and don’t remember this happening at other locations. The service here is not good right now, and it’s unfortunate that I still have to pay for services I am not receiving. Won’t stay at this Hotel Monaco location again.

This was our home base during our Denver trip, and we couldn't have asked for a more pleasant experience! The front desk staff were super friendly and accommodating. The hotel decor and cleanliness were top notch, and our room was so nice. They even offered a complimentary happy hour and guest access to bikes! I would definitely stay here again!

My daughter & I were in Denver for a week’s stay and can’t say enough about our stay here!Elise & Natalie were by far the best hotel folks I have ever had the pleasure to meet.I have travelled a lot for business in past twenty years and these gals are the BEST!The hotel has a wonderful daily happy hours & nightly nightcaps and is pet friendly with the hotel even having its own dog! We didn’t have our pet with us but we did partake in the happy hours and nightcaps! 🥂🍷🍾Elise & Natalie also gave us suggestions for sites and places to eat.At the end of each day as we entered the hotel, they asked how our day is.Would definitely come back!

Update (February 2019) - well, what was once a fun and spunky interior with style you wouldn't find in too many other places (seriously, the rooms and lobby used to feel like a cross between Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland and a 1940's theatre house), the remodel leaves it feeling like any other hipster-modern-Manhattan-loft hotel. It's dull, unoriginal, and doesn't fit the legacy of the building or the history of it. Not to mention the quality of the work is poor (wallpaper already peeling, the curtains not working, the hangers don't fit on the "wardrobe" in the bedroom, the furniture layout not well thought out, the lack of outlets and switches...lol... They placed floor switches on all the interior room lighting (all lamps except for the entrance light) and they are difficult to find and some even to work.) This place used to be my favorite hotel in Denver. Kimpton brought a youthful, forward thinking vibe to the place and the hotel itself felt full of history while being vibrant in color and in style. Now it's barely worth remembering... Including the complete lack of welcoming and friendliness of the front desk staff. Oh, one more thing. There are a number of rooms that face a tall building in the back. When you stayed here you knew you weren't getting a view, but the rooms were sultry and decadent which made the lack of light not only tolerable, but almost romantic. Now the muted hues of mostly greys and blues appear sad and depressing in those rooms. A downgrade in every way. And since the main lobby is under construction, you have to go downstairs to a temporary lobby, which is also underwhelming. And the mess from the main lobby construction was leaking everywhere. This is the old review: Great rooms...LOVE the bathroom/shower. So spacious and clean. The decor is spunky, fresh, and just the right balance of energizing and relaxing. Fun retro vibe to it as well. Kimpton does a great job of thinking of everything amenities-wise (and the products provided smell great!). Front desk personnel here were responsive and efficient. Valet and bell were wonderful. Only downside was very late check-in and leaving next day they begrudgingly allowed "late" check-out of 12:45pm. Made getting work done on a Friday arrival impossible and enjoying hotel amenities more difficult.

Make sure to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ. ᴄᴏᴍ when booking any hotel. This web site will compare hundreds of hotel sites and usually will have rooms a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This place is one of the best in the area. I have been coming here for years. If you stay for a few days you won't regret it. Staff is super nice and amazing! Clean and comfortable! Bikes available for use to get around town.
