“Stayed for 7 nights (Aug 2022) Location and common area facilities were amazing! Beautiful building. Worthy of a 5* hotel. Service was definitely lacking for a 5* hotel, closer to a 3* or 4* hotel. Door men were outright rude sometimes, questioning if I was a guest once even. Did not feel comfortable walking into the hotel after that incident. The saving grace were the managers at the hotel desk, quite courteous, and able to assist with questions and requests. Rooms are solidly in 3* hotel category. I understand that in the UK hotel rooms aren't as big and luxurious as other parts of the world, but this doesn't deserve a 5* hotel rating. Window is tiny and with no view, furnishings old, not 100% clean either.”

“Rooms are comfy. The check in staff are very friendly and helpful. The front door staff are very helpful. Thank you Benjamin! If wanting a specific room or view specify in your request. As my flight was delayed in to London, I checked in late, and was given the room with a not that great view. I was so tired from my flight that I did not ask for another room. *Just giving a word of advise* There was a tour of the hotel for guests Saturdays at 1030a, wish I was able to attend. Loads of history with this hotel.”
