“We had a wonderful time at this hotel. Arrived with bad weather but on the 31st and 1st a really nice day to compensate. Beautiful surroundings, nice food, welcoming staff. We really had a nice time in the Azores. We will be back for the summer time.”

“It's situated on the coast next to a beautiful little beach. The room was nice, but neighbours can be heard all around. The staff at the restaurant was really nice, but not only to the guests, but also to some straying cats who also had a look at the buffet. Talking about the buffet, it was simply canteen level, potatoes swimming in water, over-cooked fish, over-heated dining-room (without air-conditioning) and incredible noise. Be careful not to book half-board, and don't make the mistake to book meals in the restaurant, how could they be any better? Staff at the reception is arrogant and slow. It's a shame that this is a Pestana Hotel, we stayed in a few others in Portugal, and they were excellent, but this one makes you wonder where they got the stars from.”
