“Worst hotel stay of my life.They put is in a room that was attached to another room that was under renovation.Paint fumes and industrial adhesive seeping into our room all night.We tried to change rooms multiple times but they said the hotel was full.We asked them to do something to mitigate the fumes, they said they would send someone up and never did.Neither of us slept, both had headaches and sore throats for two days afterward.We asked to at least get our money back for the night from hell.They offered us a voucher for a free night, saying that they couldn't refund us since we'd already paid the tax (?)Then the front desk lady Karla bizarrely claimed our room had a clogged drain and that's where the paint and adhesive smells were coming from.When I rejected the voucher, asking again for a refund, she started sending passive aggressive texts with smiley face emojis.The entire thing was surreal.You would think a 40 billion dollar company with the reputation of Hilton could at least refund their customers after poisoning them.”
