“A two night stay at the Lansdown Grove Hotel proved to be the perfect choice for a birthday celebration in Bath. We were able to park our car in the hotel grounds and the hotel reception was second to none, including meeting our requirements for a room, assisting us with our luggage and delivering a celebratory glass of bubbly ! Our room was clean, comfortable and very quiet with a lovely view over the city. Temperature was perfect and the absence of - often noisy - air conditioning was no inconvenience whatsoever. There was plenty of choice for breakfast with table service being an added luxury. Additional facilities such as a bar, library and lounge were also very comfortable with lovely decor. The hotel is quite close to the city centre and, although on a steep hill, we found no difficulty walking back or, otherwise, there is a frequent bus service available. Service was outstanding from start to finish of our stay and we would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.”

“Lovely old character building set on the hill. Easy walk down to the city centre, less easy walk back up to the hotel because the hill is a long drag. If you don't want to walk a taxi is not unreasonable. Staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was good, I can't comment on evening restaurant facilities as going back to the hotel to eat didn't fit with our schedule.”
