Isso é tão longe de um hotel cinco estrelas que o oriental mandarim deveria ter vergonha! 1. A senhora do balcão nunca se apresentou e falou em um decibel que pode ser reservado para deficientes auditivos! Ela se certificou de que todos soubessem quais descontos estávamos recebendo e quanto tempo ficaríamos. 2. O velho casal branco fazendo check-in ao nosso lado estava sendo conversado em um tom civilizado, oferecendo toalhas frias e água. 3.Atualização de quarto de platina Amex foi um quarto ao lado da vista deslumbrante dos trilhos do trem. Isso eles conseguiram consertar. 4. O telefone não funcionou no quarto 811. As lâmpadas da mesa de cabeceira não funcionaram. 5. O único café nas instalações nos fez esperar 15 minutos para nos sentar e depois mais 15 antes de nos dar um menu. 6. Meu marido teve que descer até a recepção para pedir o serviço de quarto, pois o telefone não funcionava. O serviço de quarto nunca apareceu depois de esperar uma hora e estava cansado demais para descer e reclamar. Check-out de manhã para que a lista possa crescer. Encontre um hotel melhor porque a esse preço há ofertas muito melhores!

This is so far away from a five star hotel that the Mandarin oriental should be ashamed! 1. The lady at the checking counter never introduced herself and spoke in a decibel that may be reserved for the hearing impaired! She made sure everyone knew what rebates we were getting and how long we were staying. 2. The old white couple checking in next to us were being g conversed with in a civil tone, offered cold towels and water. 3.Amex platinum room upgrade was a room next to the breathtakingview of the train tracks. This they managed to fix. 4.Phone did not work in room 811. The bed side table lamps did not work. 5. The only cafe on the premises made us wait for 15 minutes to seat us and then another 15 before giving us a menu. 6. My husband had to go down to the reception to order room service since the phone did not work. The room service never showed up after waiting an hour and was too tired to go down and complain. Checking out in the morning so the list may grow. Find yourself a better hotel because at this price point there are much better deals to be had!

I treated myself to a spa day for my birthday. Andrew, my masseuse was wonderful. Really did a great job on working on my aches. Tonya who did my facial was amazing as well. I was surprised that the facial did not include extracting however. The ladies at the front desk were very pleasant as well. One in particular (did not catch her name) went over and beyond to make me feel special. She even sang happy birthday to me and offered a complimentary glass of champagne. Even though I cannot treat myself often to the Mandarin, I had a truly an amazing time. I felt so relaxed and special I highly recommend coming here for a spa day.

Fiquei por duas noites enquanto estava na cidade para um concerto. O quarto era ótimo, com uma cama confortável, lençóis limpos e uma vista incrível. O banheiro era realmente delicioso com uma grande banheira e um chuveiro walk-in. Enquanto estava hospedado aqui, usei a piscina localizada no spa e, embora tenha gostado em um dia mais calmo da semana, pude ver a área da piscina ficando muito barulhenta em um dia mais movimentado. Eu tinha serviço de quarto na segunda noite, o serviço foi muito bom, e por isso foi a comida. Muito eficiente e pontual ao minuto do tempo estimado que me foi dado quando fiz o pedido. Finalmente, para minha lista de profissionais, está a localização, você está ao sul do shopping, bem no Washington Monument.A única razão pela qual não recebe 5 estrelas de mim foi devido ao estado de alguns dos espaços públicos. O saguão tinha algumas áreas danificadas por manchas de água no teto, e todas as saídas de ar tinham uma tonelada de poeira acumulada ao redor delas.

Estou dando um 5 porque dei lugares menores um 5. É muito luxuoso e a equipe é soberbamente cortês sem ser abafado. Foi impecável. Tivemos um king deluxe e o banheiro era incrível. Os lençóis eram luxuosos. A comida era deliciosa e o porco assado na quinta-feira à noite por US$ 32/prato foi uma pechincha. Eles empacotavam o que você não podia comer e deixavam você levar com você. Eu não usei as áreas de spa ou piscina. A única crítica que tenho é que não havia uma pequena loja em que você pudesse pegar bebidas ou lanches para ter no seu quarto. Havia uma geladeira que abrigava algumas bebidas/lanches antes, mas elas foram removidas. Assim, à noite, sua única opção era serviço de quarto e tomar uma xícara de café e alguns biscoitos levou cerca de uma hora ...... mais uma gorjeta. Também não há lugar a uma curta distância para pegar esses itens. Se você está acostumado com essas coisas à noite ou tem filhos pequenos, leve-o com você.

I am giving a 5 because I have given lesser places a 5. It is very luxurious and the staff is superbly courteous without being stuffy. It was immaculate. We had a king deluxe and the bathroom was amazing. Linens were luxurious. The food was delicious and the pig roast on Thursday night at $32/plate was a bargain. They would box up what you could not eat and let you take it with you. I did not use the spa or pool areas. The only criticism I have is that there was no little store in which you could pick up drinks or snacks to have in your room. There was a refrigerator which housed some drinks/snacks before but they had been removed. So, in the evening, your only option was room service and to get a cup of coffee and a few cookies took close to an hour......plus a tip. There is no place within walking distance to pick up such items either. If you are used to those things in the evening or have small children, bring it with you.

I stayed for two nights while in town for a concert. The room was great, it came with a comfortable bed, clean sheets, and an incredible view. The bathroom was really delightful with a grand bathtub and a walk-in shower. While staying here, I used the pool located in the spa, and while I enjoyed it on a quieter day of the week, I could see the pool area becoming very loud on a busier day. I had room service the second night, the service was very good, and so was the food. Very efficient, and on time to the minute of their estimated time I was given when I placed the order. Finally for my pros list is the location, you’re just South of the mall right at the Washington Monument. The only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars from me was due to state of some of the public spaces. The lobby had a few water spot damage areas on the ceiling, and all the air vents had a ton of dust build up around them.

Cada funcionário que encontramos foi incrível. Estou impressionado com o serviço. Os quartos são muito agradáveis e limpos. O hotel em si é muito elegante e confortável. A comida supera minhas expectativas para comida de hotel e meus filhos adoram o café da manhã. A localização era perfeita porque estava perto de tudo, mas longe o suficiente da multidão para manter a atmosfera íntima. O hotel é muito adequado para crianças, além de ser um hotel de luxo, então não se intimide se você tem filhos e gostaria de ficar aqui.

First time staying here and definitely won’t be my last time. The service was like no other! SUPERB! I can’t believe their is still service like this out there. Every single employee we ran into was amazing. I’m blown by the service. The rooms are very nice and clean. The hotel itself is very classy and comfortable. The food surpasses my expectations for hotel food and my kids loves their breakfast. The location was perfect because it was close to everything, but far enough from the crowd to keep the atmosphere intimate. The hotel is very kid friendly as well being that it’s an upscale hotel, so don’t be intimidated if you have kids and would like to stay here.

Wow!! First class service all the way! We’ve stayed here several times and it’s always been exceptional. But this time, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. In particular, Ignacio (the restaurant manager) took amazing care of us. My son has severe food allergies. Ignacio went out of his way to make sure my son could eat safely. I am so grateful for Ignacio and the restaurant team. A truly wonderful experience. Thank you to everyone for making our stay so wonderful.

For a five star hotel I was expecting the same or better service like The Ritz or Four seasons. Pros: -We love our room with views of The Jefferson, spacious bathroom and excellent tub. Great location to all the attractions, and lovely hotel. -Nice pool -Friendly valet and staff Cons: - No turn down service, there's a note to leave a card on the bed if we want our linen changed the next day ( - Sauna/steam room bathroom area are not accessible to hotel guests unless you're booking one of their spa treatments (even though mandates were lifted almost 3 weeks ago in DC) -No coffee maker or refreshments in room

Minha esposa e eu passamos uma noite incrível neste hotel extremamente bem localizado. Foi uma experiência cinco estrelas desde o momento em que chegamos até o momento em que partimos. Como amigo de M.O. fomos tratados com um upgrade de cortesia para um quarto com vista para a água com vista para a marina, e duas comodidades. O hotel estava seguindo uma série de protocolos de segurança da Covid, o que nos fez sentir muito seguros. Nosso quarto era muito confortável e bem equipado. Usamos o serviço de quarto tanto para o jantar quanto para o café da manhã, e ambas as refeições eram deliciosas e bem repartidas. A melhor parte da visita foi a equipe do hotel, com mensagens especiais para Saida Jama na recepção, que nos fez o check-in e check-out, garantindo que tivéssemos uma experiência cinco estrelas e Duane que foi nosso manobrista. My wife and I spent an incredible night at this extremely well-located hotel. It was a five-star experience from the time we arrived until the time we departed. As a Friend of M.O. we were treated to a complimentary upgrade to a water-view room looking out on the marina, and two amenities. The hotel was following a number of Covid safety protocols which made us feel very safe. Our room was very comfortable and well-appointed. We used room service for both dinner and breakfast, and both meals were delicious and well-portioned. The best part of the visit was the hotel staff, with special shout-outs to Saida Jama at the front desk who checked us in and out while making sure that we had a five-star experience and Duane who was our valet. It was the perfect getaway that we both needed very much. We can't wait to return to this hotel ... possibly for the cherry blossoms in the spring!

Celebrated my boyfriends birthday I wanted to do something special given we weren't able to travel so started looking for 5 star hotels. There were two others that I had made a reservation but upon the reviews they didn't look too good especially during COVID. I fell upon the Mandarin Oriental, I checked the websited looked at the reviews it was definitely what I was looking for. So we checked in they did temperature check the front desk lady was very nice and as we were checking in wished him a happy birthday. We got to the room and it was beautiful, great view of the Potomac, they also had birthday treats for my boyfriend as well. Room service was lovely quick and efficient. We definitely enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!!

O mandarim foi excepcional. Os procedimentos COVID incluíam medir a temperatura térmica na entrada e preencher o formulário de exposição padrão. Estações de higienização das mãos estavam disponíveis no balcão de check-in e os funcionários estavam atrás de divisórias, embora não cobrissem o comprimento do balcão. Como comparação, o Ritz Carlton em Dupont Circle é tipicamente minha vibe para um local de estadia, mas com certeza adicionarei o Mandarim a essa lista.

Os quartos são muito limpos e os funcionários são simpáticos. O design interior é luxuoso para um hotel cinco estrelas e os banheiros são grandes. No entanto, não há café ou chá no quarto, então você tem que pedir, um bule pequeno custa $ 8 e um bule grande custa $ 12. Além disso, quase não havia amenidades no banheiro. Eu não acho que este é um hotel 5 estrelas. Eu não me senti muito bem. Além disso, existem trilhos de trem ao redor, então se você não escolher bem um quarto, terá que sofrer com o barulho do trem a noite toda.

The Mandarin was exceptional. Their COVID procedures included taking a thermal temperature upon entry and filling out the standard exposure form. Hand sanitizing stations were available at the check in counter and the staff were behind partitions although they did not cover the length of the counter. Justin handled my checking and was phenomenal. He made sure I was aware of all perks and amenities. The rooms did not disappoint (see photos). As a comparison the Ritz Carlton in Dupont Circle is typically my vibe for a staycation spot but I will definitely add the Mandarin to that list.

Stayed here for a conference and I must say it was amazing. Modern room and very clean. Staff was friendly and easy to deal with. Food and drinks were decent and reasonably priced for the area. This is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in and would highly recommend for a luxurious stay.
