“Highly dissatisfied; I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this place to anyone. This place is poorly managed.We traveled from December 16-22 with for what could be the last vacation with my terminally ill friend. Having traveled to other Royalton properties I had an expectation for better service. The service received was sub-parr at best and well below satisfaction and expectations. I am very disappointed and would not travel back to that location with a free trip. At this point I am not confident that we will visit ANY Royalton property.Rather than write paragraphs describing our ordeals, I will write a consumable list: - One of two elevators was out of service the entire time, leaving one four person elevator resulting in a 20 wait every trip. - Every morning at the buffet took AT LEAST 30-45 min to get food due to lack of staff and food. - EVERY day the bar ran out of specific drinks to include champagne for mimosas - EVERY day staff used the excuse of being understaffed as the reason for poor service and lack of supplies - The concegierge made us a reservation at a restaurant the we found closed don't arrival for said reservation - When we complained about the concierge's mistake, the Manager Laura, then made us a reservation for which we arrived to find the restaurant closed AGAIN. There were 24 other folks there too with reservations also surprised the restaurant was closed. - Other than the buffet, which was only open a couple nights per week, all other restaurants required reservations, which sold out by 3 the day before. - Once seated for a reservation it took on average 45-60 to get your food which wasn't all hot. - Staff allowed visitors to enter the buffet area without masks - My mini bar was empty when I arrived and it took almost 3 days to get it stocked - During my stay 6 night stay, my room only received housekeeping service twice, who I questioned the housekeeper she said "sorry I'm trying to get to it, I have a lot of rooms to get to but we're understaffed, I will try to get to you today" - We tried two different days to order room service and no on answered the phone - My friend ordered food from the restaurant to be sent to my ill friend's room and the food arrived 3 his later, cold.I urge anyone looking to visit Antigua to find a different place to stay, this place is not worth the money it cost.”
