I would disregard most negative reviews and give this hotel a 5 star rating for our 6 night stay. Here is why! 1. This hotel is in an expansive area and has a resort like feel. It’s not cramped in the rooms or outside. 2. All your operators pick from this place . It’s away from the bustle of the city yet a 5 minutes drive to the city center, or Uber 3. The hotel has a old world vibe and the restaurants excellent, staff top quality and I had no reason to complain. Breakfast is good, the gym works and the pools are fancy!

Rooms are quite humid and it's not possible to open a window. They're a bit old but very big. The pool is pretty nice, so is the breakfast area and the offered breakfast as well. We liked it here, just the rooms could be a bit nicer- there are renovations going on so it might improve in the future

A very nice hotel in the downtown area. Everyone I encountered at the front desk spoke English. I stayed there two nights a couple weeks apart. The first time I was one floor up on the backside of the hotel, resulting in a quiet experience after a neighboring room turned off their TV. The second night I was just down the hallway from the lobby; this was much noisier as people walked down the corridor laughing and talking loudly late at night (there is no carpeting to deaden the sound). If you want a quiet stay insist on being assigned a tranquil section of the hotel. Some English channels could be found on the TV; I watched a recent Jurassic Park movie. The free breakfast buffet was the most extensive I encountered in the country - very tasty and satisfying. The pool area was nicely designed and inviting.

I have stayed at this hotel frequently over the years and I continue to return as I have never had a negative experience for the most part. I did not like my room during this last stay but this fact does not take away from years of positive experiences. What I LOVE about this hotel is the service I treatment I receive from the staff. Special shout out to Mayra and Ignacio who were wonderful during my Dec. 2022 visit.

Good value but some quirks. Nice rooms, good breakfast, reliable WiFi, friendly and helpful team. Some of the lights in my room didn’t work and the climate control didn’t really control anything, was always about 74F. Not a good hotel for walking places, especially at night, plan on getting a cab

I booked this location because of the high star rating. It wasn’t terrible, but it also wasn’t a 4.4/5 location. Aesthetically, it feels a lot like a wartime bunker, and our room was very musty. There were black spots in the carpet, which I can only assume were mold. Luckily, we’re not allergy sufferers, but that could certainly complicate life for someone who does suffer from allergies. The staff was helpful, and the breakfast buffet was the highlight, for sure. If you can get a decent rate, a solid place to spend a night on the way in or out of the country.

The rooms were very clean. Staff was friendly and attentive. The in house restaurante was very good. We didn't use the pool or hot tub because it was raining, but they looked nice. They also have updated plumbing so you can flush the TP safely. Showers were hot with lots of water pressure. It's not really within walking distance of anything, but there are taxis close by that the desk can help you with. All in all it was a very pleasant experience, and I would recommend a stay.

The room was horrible. I was there for one night and the room smelled like it hadn't been used or cleaned in 20 years. It smells like when you have a closet in a humid place and you open it very rarely, the whole room smelled like that. The hotel is beautiful, but I needed the hotel to sleep for one night before going to the airport, and it was impossible to have a good night rest. Perhaps it was an issue only with room 2057, but that is my experience. If you suffer from allergies, don't go there.

My stay at Radisson was great! The room service was well done and climate friendly. The best part for me was starting off the day with breakfast and Alonso treated each meal with remarkable service by giving recommendations and coffee! I would definitely come back

Through diligent research, I was at first in impressed by some of the reviews provided for this hotel. Upon arrival however, those wonderful reviews were not at all true. To begin, the first room we were given was infested with bugs. There were bugs in the bed, on the windows, and on the walls. When we mentioned this to the hotel staff, they did provided upmost respect and kindness by moving my family and I to another room. The second room reeked of mold and the bedding was damp. We also ate dinner there and the food unfortunately was awful. The steak was completely over cooked (literally burnt on one side) and the pasta we ordered was incredibly salty. My family and I had to leave the hotel because unfortunately it did not meet the expectations of the rating.

Super nice experience, with a very clean hotel, lovely room and welcoming staff. The breakfast was generous and healthy, and the whole place made you forget you were in the middle of a busy city! Will definitely return as a landing pad next time we're in Costa Rica.

I am really sorry for some employees who were very nice, but the stay here was just more than miserable. That this Radisson Hotel still has 5 stars and above all takes prices as if it were one, is inexplicable to me and an impertinence. The rooms are in need of renovation throughout. We were kindly allowed to change rooms, but even the second room was only 5% better than the first and only because it had wooden floors instead of carpet. The beds are saggy and uncomfortable, the furnishings I think are from the 80s. This hotel calls itself a 5-star hotel, but it doesn't even have refrigerators in the rooms. But the best thing - irony - was that housekeeping was not in the room, despite cleaning sign on the door, when we were out all day. When asked at the front desk, we were seriously told that when we left the hotel, we had to let them know that the housekeeping should clean the room and now no one was there. This is the worst service I have ever experienced. This is not acceptable in a "5 star" hotel, which also charges such prices. The breakfast was a joke, the only consolation was that you could have food delivered from outside. To the highest Radisson-Management: renovate this hotel on all levels or else don't call yourself a 5-star hotel (at booking.com). Even these 4-stars here on Google do not do you justice.
