I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. I've been to Chicago a few times but this is the first time I stayed at the Viceroy and WOW. All of the staff made us feel right at home but the absolute gem of this hotel is Alison, who works at the front desk. She was welcoming, knowledgeable, made great recommendations, and truly went above and beyond for us during our stay. Great people make great places and we can't thank her enough. She made our stay memorable. We won't ever stay at another hotel while in Chicago again. Thank you Alison!!! See you in January!

Ótimo lugar para ficar e vamos ficar aqui novamente. O quarto estava fresco. Excelente vista ampla. Cama confortável. Excelente chuveiro e banheira. Teria preferido mais espaço na cômoda, mas o armário funcionou bem o suficiente. Quando chegamos, Patrick foi muito útil e fez várias recomendações para nós. Foi minha primeira vez em Chicago. Na noite da semana seguinte, perguntei a Allison sobre algumas informações históricas sobre a decoração e o próprio hotel. Ela admitiu que era bastante nova e não sabia me responder. Eu e meus hubs saímos para jantar, mas quando voltamos ela havia imprimido várias informações sobre a história do hotel, que li enquanto estava de molho na banheira. Isso foi maravilhoso e inesperado. Por fim, Cameron respondeu às nossas perguntas sobre o cheiro no saguão. Cheiro adorável, leve e elegante. Ele puxou a fragrância de trás da mesa, borrifou para que pudéssemos confirmar que era o perfume e compartilhou que era uma fragrância de marca que é vendida pelo hotel. Muito agradável e útil. Vou deixar uma crítica separada para o restaurante Somerset, que está conectado. Alerta de spoiler: experiência excepcional também lá.Que grande experiência para um novo visitante de Chicago!

Um amigo e eu ficamos no Viceroy no fim de semana passado e fiquei impressionado com a forma como acomodando toda a equipe. Eu também não tinha ideia de que o hotel estava em uma localização privilegiada, onde você pode caminhar até parques, cafés e lojas de roupas. Eu definitivamente ficarei aqui novamente. Apreciei a forma como o interior foi decorado. Um saboroso toque art déco dos anos 40 e 50. A aparência exterior esconde a joia interior!

I came here with my daughter. I wanted to spend time with my daughter upstairs on the 18th floor near the poolside. She just wanted to drink coffee next to us, but the workers did not allow her to come in. They said no one under 21 is allowed in after 6:00 PM, even though alcohol is served before then as well. I believe this was discrimination as I saw other younger looking people inside.

Great place to stay and we will stay here again. The room was cool. Great expansive view. Comfy bed. Great shower and tub. Would have preferred more dresser space, but the closet worked well enough. When we arrived, Patrick was very helpful and made several recommendations for us. It was my first time to Chicago. The next week evening, I asked Allison about some historical info regarding the decor and the hotel itself. She admitted that she was fairly new and couldn’t answer me. My hubs and I left for dinner, but when we got back, she had printed several pieces of info about the history of the hotel, which I read while soaking in the tub. This was delightful and unexpected. Finally, Cameron answered our questions regarding the smell in the lobby. Lovely, light, elegant smell. He pulled out the fragrance from behind the desk, sprayed it so that we could confirm that it was the scent, and shared that it was a branded fragrance that is sold by the hotel. Very pleasant and helpful. I’ll leave a separate review for the Somerset restaurant , which is connected. Spoiler alert: exceptional experience there too. What a great experience for a new visitor to Chicago!

A friend and I stayed at the Viceroy this past weekend and I was overwhelmed by how accommodating the entire staff was. I also had no idea the hotel was in such a prime location walkable to parks, coffee shops and clothing stores. I will definitely be staying here again. I appreciated the way the interior was decorated. A tasteful art deco 40's and 50's feel. The exterior appearance hides the interior gem!

Eu fiquei em um Grand King River vista e era espaçoso, limpo e as vistas onde morrer. O banheiro luxuoso tem piso aquecido e eu me senti como se estivesse em um spa. Gosto deste local porque é bastante, mas ainda não muito longe da ação / Magnificent Mile e fica em uma área muito nobre. Nunca ouvi uma sirene da polícia vindo do meu quarto e poderia ser as janelas de vidros duplos, e isso é uma vantagem se você tem o sono leve. A piscina e as vistas são incríveis e o pessoal é super atencioso. Eu ficaria aqui em um piscar de olhos. Por estar na indústria de viagens, lido com muitos clientes VIPS e corporativos e isso superou meus altos padrões e expectativas quando se trata de hotéis. 5 estrelas.

I stayed in a Grand King River view and it was spacious,clean and the views where to die for. The luxurious bathroom have heated floors and I felt like I was in a spa. I like this location because is quite, but still not far from the action/Magnificent Mile and it’s in a very upscale area. I never heard a police sirens from my room and it could be the double glazed windows, and that’s a plus If you’re a light sleeper. The pool and the views are amazing and the staff is super attentive. I would stay here in a heartbeat. Being in the travel industry I deal with many VIPS and corporate clients and this exceeded my high standards and expectations when it comes to hotels. 5 Stars.

O quarto tem no máximo 4 estrelas. Pequeno. O chuveiro não está funcionando corretamente, o banheiro é muito pequeno.O condicionamento físico é 4,5.A equipe é de 5 estrelas. Super amigável e útil. Tanto na piscina da cobertura quanto na recepção.A localização é excelente, 5 estrelas. Viria novamente.

Room is 4 star max. Tiny. Shower is not working properly, toilet is too small. Fitness is 4.5. Staff is 5 stars. Supers friendly and helpful. Both at rooftop pool and at reception. Location is superb, 5 stars. Would come again.

Stayed here for a weekend. Perfect location to the pizza place next door is pretty good and the room service for the restaurant on site was also excellent ordered from them twice. The hotel was very accommodating with asking for additional supplies. My only complaint is that the hotels name is not visible to the extent that one would expect. You can only valet Park and that valet service is excellent. They don't have much room to pull in so just pull up and let them know that you're staying at the hotel and they will come out and greet you. So when your GPS brings you to that point definitely slow down or you will miss it. The only misleading thing is the Lakeview. You're literally three blocks from the lake with buildings in front of you. So while you can see a glimpse of the lake down a side street it's not really a lake view. So if you're looking for that from this hotel I would not waste the money spending extra. However the view out of that window actually was great you could see down the street and things that are going on like your car being pulled up to valet. I will definitely stay here again in the future which should be very soon.

I can honestly say this is the best hotel I have stayed in in the U.S. the unique style isn’t for everyone but it is very well executed. The staff boasts this sort of relaxed friendly competence that you don’t see at many other places. The views from the ceiling to floor sound proof windows are hard to beat anywhere else in the city and the location is fantastic. Highly recommend!

Excelente hotel. Muy buen diseño y atención. Tuve que cancelar una noche por un problema en el vuelo y lo hicieron sin problema aún cuando en Expedia (con quien había reservado) me quería cobrar más. Nos dieron late check out también. Sin duda un hotel para volver.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The 5 star treatment is worth every penny! Customer care is unbeatable. They even left me and my boyfriend a small complementary gift for our anniversary celebration, how thoughtful! Rooftop has a fantastic view and the pool is heated. I will definitely be staying there again!

This hotel was our starting point on our 1-month honeymoon trip in the USA. Both of us, I and my husband, agreed that it was one of the best hotels where we had ever stayed (and we do travel a lot). The stuff was incredibly nice, friendly and helpful. The room was way above any expectations. Nicely decorated, stylish, cleaned as if nobody has ever stayed there before. There is an awesome swimming pool with a bar upstairs. We absolutely loved it and wished to have more time in Chicago to enjoy it. I was told that a swimming pool on the roof is normal for the States. But being from Europe, we were quite amazed to see it. The restaurant downstairs serves the best breakfast that we tried in States so far. For the rest of our honeymoon every morning we remembered those delicious avocado toasts. The only thing that we didn’t like about the restaurant that the girls at the reception were quite rude to us once and didn’t want to give us a table (despite the fact that there were lots tables available) until we said that we were staying in the hotel. I guess because we were not dressed up “properly” and I was wearing sport outfit. And the lady looked at me in a quite judging way so I didn’t feel comfortable and wanted to complain and live straight away. But my hubby calmed me down and we stayed (yup, he really loved those avocado toasts and didn’t want to lose an opportunity to eat it again lol). Oh, and also thank you to the hotel team for the greeting card, campaign and some sweets as a treat for our honeymoon celebration. We saved that card as a nice memory from our first stop on the trip. If one day we are back to Chicago, I know the place where we are staying!

In my opinion this is the coolest place to stay in the area. Sexy, cool design, great rooms, and excellent service. Awesome bar on the ground level. Great for a romantic date night! Will visit again. Very highly recommended.

I took my wife here to celebrate a milestone birthday. We are from the suburbs and I found this place online almost at the last minute. I’m glad i dodo because the service, staff, and accommodations were first class. Super friendly people at the front desk. When I checked in they asked if there was any special occasion for the stay. I said yes and the upgraded my room, gave my wife a box of chocolates and wished her a happy birthday. The room was spacious, well appointed and stocked with carefully thought out accessories that you might need: an umbrella, shoe horn/polishing brush, a clothes valet , a pair each of red and white whine glasses as well as cocktail glasses, bottle opener , wine opener , etc as well as the standard bathroom fare. The shower was huge with a great rain-style showerhead, glass door, and bench . Light switches were arranged so you could turn groups of lights on/off at once or dim them for mood. Rooftop bar and pool was hip and fun without being pretentious. I’d definitely stay here again !
