“This hotel has been at the water's edge for decades, and it has mold and rust issues in the rooms and in the lobby restrooms. The carpet in the room was lightly damp below the room air conditioner, and the air filter was filthy. The ac didn't cool well at all. The mold was so bad that my son & I turned red with facial flushing and swelling within 5 minutes of entering our room. We had to take extra antihistamines just to function. The next day, the front desk staff agreed to change the air filter but were dismissive of the photos I took showing water stains on the filter.The pool was nice. The public spaces are updated, and there are nice space-themed accents. However, it seems like cosmetic changes to mask the underlying mold and damp issues.”
