“I loved looking at the architecture in this hotel. It is an old building and each door has a key. COSTS $50 IF YOU LOSE THE KEY. They have to change the locks. The rooms were small and cozy. The beds were so comfortable. The location is really nice as it is next to Macy’s and Chriskindlmart. Although I would really like to give a perfect review, the elevators were extremely finicky and would close, just to open back up and the lights even went off one time. Only the one elevator worked and I often spent 5-10 minutes waiting for the elevator. Sometimes I took the stairs instead. Of course, you have to understand it’s an old building and they try to preserve the old architecture. Other than that, the facility and service is nice. Each night you get $10 to spend on snacks and candy or at the bar.”

“Let me tell you that this hotel and staff has set the bar for every hotel I will ever stay in. This was, BY FAR, the best experience I have ever had! The staff was genuinely friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome! Everything was clean and these beds were the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever slept in - even better than more expensive hotels we've been to. I will absolutely stay here every time I travel to Chicago. Also... I chose this hotel for the historical aspect which was equally impressive. So pretty.”
