“Not a GREAT hotel. The location is convenient to downtown/ west Ashley and James island.
The rooms are old and worn out. The floors were not swept or vacuumed from previous guests.
Other closer Marriott that are better options to downtown or Mount Pleasant that I would recommend.”

“As a lifetime Gold member who has been Platinum for several years as well, this was quite possibly the worst hotel experience I ever had. It began with having to wait over 30 minutes to check in because only one person was working the front desk and they were in no hurry. I was then told they didn't have any King rooms left, although that's what I reserved and I had checked in on the app the day before arrival. Instead of the King room, I received an ADA room with a queen bed, which was not one of the rooms under renovation and was the quality of a room at Motel 6. The next morning (at 4:00 am), there was no hot water which made the stay even less enjoyable. I can live with a queen bed, mind you, but it's about the fact that I didn't get what I reserved. To me, that's the point in making the reservation and selecting your room at that time.
I don't understand the point of "checking in" early on the app and getting a mobile key if you still have to stand in line, nor can I understand how a room I reserved would not be available if I reserved it and checked in early. Marriott customer service was not helpful and offered me 7,000 points - all for a hotel that costs over $200 a night and over 40,000 points to reserve a room at. Since I'm lifetime Gold, I have absolutely no reason to remain loyal to Marriott and will happily shop for the best prices when making future travel. Best advice is to find another option instead of this hotel.”
